Project Manager 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Conover, NC 28613 Job Description – Project Manager Project Manager manages client projects as assigned. A Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of projects. Their duties include planning, designing, executing and completion of projects on time within budget and scope. Project Manager will handle one or multiple projects at a time. Prepare reports for management regarding status of project. Reports to General Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of project contracts. Support sales in development of planning on large projects as needed during bidding.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables with Sales and Production.
- Work with Engineering and Production to identify project tasks and resource requirements related to equipment build.
- Work with Field Service to identify project tasks and resource requirements related to equipment installation.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage an independent project budget as needed.
- Track project deliverables, creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation using appropriate industry and professional software.
- Provide direction and support to project team including internal stakeholders.
- Work with production quality assurance. Report any deficiencies to Operations Manager for corrective action.
- Present reports defining project progress, evaluations, problems, and assessment of results, reporting to all stakeholders and management.
- In conjunction with Engineering, implement, record and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project scope.
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Work with production to establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Meet with stakeholders regularly on requirements and progress of each project.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- Associate degree in management, business, or a related field.
- Must have at least 3+ years’ experience in project management.
- Proven working experience in project management.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with project management software tools.
Preferred Qualificatins:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or a related field.
- Certified in Project Management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified or past PMP certification.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment.
