Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Project Manager to support a Large-Scale Manufacturing (LSM) Modernization initiative, which includes the implementation of a new Manufacturing Execution System (MES). This role focuses on the operational readiness workstream to ensure the successful integration and sustainability of MES functionalities such as electronic equipment tracking, electronic batch records, and release-by-exception processes in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Operational Readiness Program Manager in executing readiness activities aligned with MES implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, QE, Manufacturing, Materials Planning, and other stakeholders. Lead and facilitate team meetings, document meeting minutes, assign and track action items. Develop and maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, and schedule updates. Drive adherence to project timelines and deliverables. Track and report on operational readiness progress, providing regular status dashboards. Assist in the creation and maintenance of implementation support plans. Serve as the point of contact for schedule management within the operational readiness workstream.

Working Environment:

On-site role based at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Raleigh, NC. Interaction with internal project teams, contractors, and operations staff. Ability to work effectively in an open-office setting with frequent team engagement. Must be comfortable working in a matrixed, cross-functional team environment.

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, or a related technical field.

Experience:

10+ years of experience in project management or related support roles. Proven track record managing or supporting operational readiness for large-scale initiatives. Familiarity with Project Management methodologies (PMBOK, PMI principles). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Experience in a regulated, compliance-driven environment (e.g., pharmaceutical industry). Experience with MES and electronic batch record systems preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Hands-on experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera P6, or similar project management tools. Knowledge of project portfolio management software is a plus. #TM2
