We are looking to expand our team by hiring an experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically specializing in metal framing and drywall projects exceeding $5 million. This position will be heavily focused on hospitals, private commercial, higher education facilities and mixed use projects. What You Will Be Doing The Drywall & Metal Stud Framing Project Manager is responsible for managing commercial construction projects. This role requires utilizing established skills to support the field team in successfully managing awarded proposals through completion. Responsibilities include negotiating pricing with vendors, completing submittals and RFIs, ordering materials and equipment, attending job meetings as required, pricing change orders, monitoring job schedules, and completing closeout documents. The Project Manager will develop competitive and on-time cost change estimates using The Edge Estimating Software and on-screen takeoff while building relationships with both new and existing customers. Honesty, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and work well with colleagues are essential. This role adheres to standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating. Additional duties may include (but are not limited to): Overseeing multiple construction projects from start to finish, including managing personnel on projects Attending job site meetings Assembling and maintaining project files Managing project-specific labor schedules Attending on-site project meetings with clients as required Processing RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, daily job reports, and other required forms Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications Overseeing all phases to ensure routine actions of the job are completed Ensuring work is being built in accordance with contract documents Coordinating material and ensuring correctness with supervisors and others Implementing contract preparation, on-site coordination, quality control, and cost tracking Overseeing and managing materials, equipment, contracts, and budgets Creating material purchase orders (ERP Software) to maintain project schedules Maintaining an understanding of all local, city, and state building codes in assigned locations Continuously developing and improving knowledge of all product lines Ensuring all team members are committed to safety and quality Other duties as assigned What You Need for this Position 3+ years of relevant project management experience on commercial drywall projects Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field) Ability to build budgets and schedule of values A successful track record of managing ground-up and renovation projects Working knowledge of The Estimating Edge or equivalent Working knowledge of Plexxis Software or equivalent Prior experience with midsize to large commercial projects Ability to read architectural and structural plans and specifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
