JOB SUMMARY

Senior Project Manager responsible for driving large-scale initiatives primarily on behalf of the National Center for Clinical Trials across the Wake Forest School of Medicine and Advocate Health. The Senior Project Manager is an expert project manager, with deep experience driving crossanizational and enterprise-level initiatives across multi-region stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will rely on project management expertise and principles to drive progress in system-wide initiatives for which theanization’s most senior leaders are the key stakeholders. Regular partnership with enterprise leaders is expected to successfully lead and implement the portfolio of institutional projects that have Enterprise-wide impact.
This position will be primarily focused on work associated with the National Center for Clinical Trials (NCCT) which is designed to serve as an innovative platform to revolutionize and catalyze the conduct of clinical trials−greatly accelerating the translation of scientific findings into improvements in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease for ourmunities and patients. The NCCT will offer core services for patient recruitment and enrollment, trial administration and follow-up, and to gather real world data and evidence.
This position will be part of a central project management team and will report up through the dean’s office. This position will be primarily focused on working with functional area leaders to drive and track milestones and goals necessary for implementation of the NCCT and will assist with other initiatives as necessary.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years’ experience in project management required.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or

REGISTRATION

Formal Project Management certification or equivalent credential, preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities below will be primarily focused on projects associated with implementation of the NCCT and conduct of clinical trials.
1. Lead full scale initiatives from concept to implementation for system-wide impact, including planning, overseeing, and monitoring projects to ensure progress and deliverables to senior leaders. Act as a primary project contact/liaison to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. 2. Direct multiple stakeholders to collaborate on project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and resources needed. 3. Oversee initiative deliverables to ensure projects remain in-scope and have resources allocated to deliver on the system-wide scale as needed. 4. Responsible for ensuring projectmunication principles are add to, including artifacts like charters, schedules, and budgets, as appropriate and necessary for assigned projects. 5. Present project milestones and deliverables to stakeholders and senior leaders. Assess risk with projects looking at both short-term and long-term impact, to gain leader insight as initiatives and priorities shift with changing business needs. 6. Leadmunications with senior leaders, project team members, and other stakeholders, to actively solicit and address stakeholder and project team feedback. 7. Advise and support business development efforts to create project proposals, RFPs, estimates, and schedules, as appropriate. 8. Oversee initiatives to ensure adnce to legally binding requirements, as appropriate. 9. Design and deliver project metrics for initiatives, to ensure senior leaders andanizational impact is understood and planned for across the system. 10. Lead initiative review meetings with stakeholders to ensure progress and project milestones are planned for,municated, met, and advanced. 11. Address technical and operational delays or system issues with appropriate subject matter experts, in order to proactively resolve potential project challenges or delays. 12. Mentor project management team to resources, provide guidance, develop tools and processes to support the success of less senior project managers.
