Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Product Project Manager for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a –12 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.
This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

Focusing on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project in the manufacturing & industrialization area
Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
Manage projects or subprojects with limited complexity within a program or portfolio, from initiation to completion.
Have full responsibility for defining and managing scope, cost, schedule, quality and risks – and to deliver on agreed project objectives.

Experience:

Bachelors degree in Manufacturing or industrial Engineering required: Master’s degree preferred
4+ years of relevant experience performing in a Project Manager role, with projects driven from initiation to successful implementation
PMP is a plus
Knowledge and experience in SAFe Agile
Experience in working in operations is preferred
Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience in risk and change management
Ability to oversee, coordinate, and juggle multiple tasks and meet tough deadlines
Strong abilities in priority setting and problem solving
Good negotiation skills
Good planning, anticipation, and proactivity skills
