This is a full-time W2 contract with an initial duration of 3years and potential for conversion. Full time, hybrid, 3 days/week in office.

Will be required to drive their personal vehicle. 1-3 site visitsper month, an average of 100-200 miles. Mileage reimbursed. This job posting is for a Project Manager II in Transmission -Interconnections for the DEC (Carolinas West) Region. Looking forsomeone with an electrical engineering background and directProject and/or Construction Management experience in Transmissionor Utility related projects. Project Manager II position has single point accountability or canbe under general direction of a Project Director or Manager ofProject Management. PM-II position is responsible for management,or assisting management, of all phases of project planning andexecution to ensure project success factors are met. These includebut are not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality,environmental, safety, communications, security and integration.
The position is typically assigned a portfolio of “White” or”Green” ranked projects per the Project Management Center ofExcellence Risk-Informed Project Ranking Process. The position isaccountable for a portfolio of assigned projects with Low toModerate levels of risk that impact various levels of the Company,Senior Management or External Agencies. PM-II’s may be assignedprojects with specific risk-informed requirements based on specificexperience and skill sets. PM-II’s serve as unifying agentsproviding leadership, decision making, management, guidance,coordination, and control of overall projects in accordance withestablished policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of theCompany. Entry to this level is based on experience, knowledge,skills and abilities, and should align with business unit personnelneeds to manage the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
— PM-II’s provide leadership, oversight, delegation, andcoordination with various internal and external organizationsproviding services to the project (Development, Engineering,Project Controls, Estimating, Construction Management, SupplyChain, Legal, EHS, QA/QC, Operations, Communications, StakeholderEngagement, Regulatory, Security, Fuels, Transmission, etc.).PM-II’s guide matrixed members of the team daily. They interfacewith functional leaders of matrixed team members regardingplacement, development and conflict resolution. Establish andmaintain communications among project/programs stakeholders. — Structure, lead, or assist in project related meetings toensure open communication between team members, key stakeholders,and management. Prepare, communicate or report monthly projectstatus, kickoff meetings, weekly and monthly requiredcommunication. Assure Project Plans and appropriate reporting meansare developed and communicated according to PMCoE Standards andBusiness Unit implementing procedures. Effectively communicate withappropriate management/governance team. Plan assigned project(s)including scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality aspects. — Champion the process of project planning including scope andwork definition, estimating, schedule formation, monitoring, costcontrol measures, procurement/contracting strategies, equipmentselection, vendor selection, start-up and commissioning plans,turnover to operations, warranty management, and integrationprocesses as applicable. Execute projects according to plans withinapproved scope, cost and schedule constraints. — Includes objectives, stakeholders, scope, roles andresponsibilities, assumptions and constraints, deliverables, WorkBreakdown Structure (WBS), schedule, external communication,regulatory strategy, procurement strategy, contractor and supplierstrategy, resource plan, budget, lessons learned, risk plan,quality plan, safety plan, environmental plan, security plan,integration plan, data management plan, communications andreporting plan, change management, and project close out.
