  • Specialist who manages the lifecycle of data products derived from external sources, often focusing on how that data can be used to create new products, features, or insights.

Applies expert-level knowledge of the project management discipline to plan, monitor and manage internal projects (specifically focusing on third party data management) of large scope and very high complexity from initiation through completion. Work requires a broad understanding of active third-party data initiatives and the functioning of the assigned work teams, LOBs and Truist overall. Interprets internal or external issues around third-party data for financial services and recommends solutions and best practices to improve existing processes, methodologies and workflows that will enable the bank to work more efficiently and to stay within project timeline, budget, and scope. May include work managing functional teams and/or multiple, interrelated projects (include business transformation projects). Work is generally independent and self-directed, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leads or coordinates project planning activities for large, complex projects to devise a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and is aligned with the business strategy. 2. Defines problems and scope parameters, organizes project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and milestones, identifies structures of authority and processes for decision making, and determines resource requirements. 3. Understands and articulates the expectations for the project deliverable/s and ensures shared understanding within the team. 4. Works with cross-functional teams (engineering, line of business, marketing) to ensure alignment and successful implementation of third party data. 5. Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. 6. Reports on the status of projects including key performance indicators (KPIs), cost, timing, and staffing. 7. Responsible for Sourcing, evaluating, and securing third-party data from reputable providers, ensuring it meets privacy and compliance standards. 8. Developing strategies for integrating third-party data with existing systems and data sources. 9. Defining and prioritizing data products based on the capabilities and potential of third-party data. 10. Created and manages the roadmap for third party data product development, including feature requests and prioritized backlog items. 11. Uses appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost. 12. Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation. 13. Identifies and resolves difficult complex issues, reports and escalates to management as needed.

Proven leadership in the implementation of complex projects, issue resolution, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. 6. Demonstrated advanced understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies. 9. Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and bring clarity to ambiguous assignments. 10. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, delegate and problem-solve. 11. Advanced working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a relevant field of work (e.g., MBA) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. 2. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement, facilitation, and project management methodologies. 3. Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization. 4. In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory and practical application to complex initiatives. 5. Experience with financial measurements and metrics Financial Services experience. 6.. Previous strategic sourcing experience specifically dealing with market and credit data suppliers in a financial services company 7. Ability to define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage product lifecycles. 8.
