  • MBA or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain orFinance or a comparable business curriculum preferred, orequivalent work experience. Degree requirement may be off-set byadditional relevant experience

  • Operational risk management, supply chain, and vendor risk andperformance management experience

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in financial services,preferably in a large complex organization with responsibilitiesacross multiple businesses and geographies Position Description The GVBPS Lead is a key member of the GVBPS organization reportingto a Regional or Global Head and supports the efficient andeffective execution of key initiatives and strategic priorities.

This candidate will support the coordination and alignment of riskand performance management strategies with business objectives aswell as directing day-to-day operations of risk and performancemanagement activities within scope. He or she will be part of ateam charged with managing vendor and business partner riskidentification, evaluation, monitoring, testing, remediation andreporting. He/she will be responsible for designing andimplementing vendor and business partner performance scorecard withstandardized metrics that are aligned with category strategies.

This candidate will support the timely and effective communicationto key stake holders, customers and other team members.

Responsibilities Region/Function Specifications:
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies forvendor risk and performance management initiatives that focus onthe risk-based sourcing and vendor selection, relationshipmanagement, performance analytics and on-going risk & compliancemonitoring.
  • Lead vendor and business partner performance management scorecarddesign, development and implementation including establishingcategory-based performance metrics, developing process andprocedure, and implementing supporting technology platform toensure a timely performance assessment for continuing compliancewith AIG policies and contractual SLA.
  • Oversee the operation and effectiveness of controls, governanceand performance management implemented by business units relevantto Standards prescribed by the AIG’s vendor and business partnermanagement policies and standards.
  • Monitor ongoing global vendor and business risk and performanceagainst business and compliance requirements; provide regular(monthly) metrics reports and updates including
KRI/ KPI

dashboard,global vendor and business partner inventory. – Monitor and track global vendor and business control issues andfacilitate escalation where appropriate for resolution.

  • Provide input on policy and process standardization. Identifyopportunities for continuous process and platform improvement.
  • Support partnerships with business stakeholders to delivertangible and sustainable value; monitor and manage relationshipswith vendor and business partner at aggregated level.
  • Develop executive communications – meeting presentations,multimedia, key messages, talking points and executiveperspectives. Participate in the creation of executivepresentations.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:
  • MBA or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain orFinance or a comparable business curriculum preferred, orequivalent work experience. Degree requirement may be off-set byadditional relevant experience

  • Bilingual (English and other regionally critical language)
  • Ability to understand complex global regulatory requirements andanalyze their impact on operations
  • Certification in regulatory, audit or risk management disciplineshelpful, but not required
  • Strong technical / functional understanding of vendor managementmethodologies, work flows, and software solutions
