The Traffic Design Project Manager will help oversee traffic signal design, traffic control design, signing and pavement marking design functions. •This position is eligible for a sign-on-bonus! Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Performs various engineering related calculations and analyses in the application of the basic design criteria necessary to complete assigned projects.
Collaborates with CAD technicians, field technicians, designers, surveyors, and other team personnel to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
Manages multiple publicly and privately funded projects and provides technical quality control of projects.
Prepares project fee proposals and follows up as appropriate.
Responsible for tracking of costs, schedules, and performance measurements for assigned projects.
Coordinates the preparation of data tabulation/evaluation and reports and assists in report production and development of engineering designs and specifications.
Performs field assignments including site inspections and conducting field assessment of properties.
Maintains field notes and photo documentation as required.
Supervises work of Associates and Interns.
Mentors/Coaches Associates and Interns to develop staff.
What you’ll need
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineering licensure in the state where this person’s work is primarily performed.
Six (6) + years of overall and progressively responsible experience with public and private sector projects, specifically with NCDOT.
Experience in traffic signal design, traffic control design, signing and pavement marking design, and cost estimating.
Proficient in MicroStation/AutoCAD
