Responsibilities Successfully manage projects by developing scope of work, schedule, and fee. Balance workload and resources. Support business development efforts and lead the preparation of proposals. Develop new business and maintain existing client relationships. Serve as key contact with clients and conduct critical negotiations. Handle controversial issues and solve complex technical and people assignments. Apply extensive knowledge of standard practices for land surveying. Lead and supervise project teams on projects of all sizes and complexity. Ensure project completion through client meetings, team communication, budget monitoring, and A/R collections. Provide technical, design, and project management services in support of surveying. Participate in professional organizations and mentor staff. Maintain a network of relationships within the field. Essential Skills Expertise in land surveying and surveying practices. Experience as a land surveyor, surveyor, instrument operator, and crew chief. Proficiency in civil 3D, topography, GPS, and Alta surveys. Ability to conduct topographic and hydro surveys. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and CAD. Additional Skills & Qualifications NC PLS Survey license required. Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience. Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record. Work Environment The position is based in the Wilmington, NC office with the majority of time spent in the field. Travel within the region (NC, SC, VA) may be required, with up to 60% travel possibility. Compensation is provided for overnight stays if outside of daily commute. The primary workload is within a daily commute.
