Assistant Project Manager will:
Work closely with the Estimating/Preconstruction team and Project Superintendent to facilitate a seamless transition from estimating to operations, when necessary. Review and enforce subcontract agreements necessary for the completion of the project. Adhere to the project budget and perform cost analysis to accurately project the anticipated profit. Ensure that the project moves forward in a timely, cost-effective manner, making changes and adjustments as necessary. Work with project team to organize and report construction activities. Have a thorough understanding of the plans and specifications including scopes of work, scheduled activities, necessary actions to prepare for subcontractor performance, supply chain delays and anticipated challenges. Assist in enforcing safety guidelines and operational requirements on the jobsite. Enforce all quality control policies and procedures. Help to identify and resolve scope conflicts, working to attain resolution as soon as possible. Maintain constant communication with all project team members throughout the construction and closeout of the project. Maintain documentation of all efforts related to the management of the project using approved company means and methods.
Requirements:
2+ years of commercial construction management experience Excellent communication abilities, including writing, speaking and active listening Good planning and organizational skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies Great with problem solving and decision-making skills OSHA 10 Certification in Construction and a demonstrated in-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations Effective leadership abilities: motivation, goal setting, team building and conflict management Procore experience preferred
