Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to support

TBMNC BEV

Projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have 5-10 years of experience in the field. This role involves facilitating civil and structural installations, providing expert assistance in reviewing product and equipment submittals, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and building codes. The position requires domestic travel (approximately 10%) and offers the opportunity for overtime hours. Responsibilities Facilitate civil and structural installations (foundations, steel erection, etc.) and commissioning activities. Provide subject matter expert assistance in reviewing product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings, and specifications. Review contractor-generated RFIs and ensure compliance with safety procedures, safe work practices, and OSHA requirements. Possess extensive knowledge of prevailing building codes and professional industry standards (e.g., IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, etc.). Coordinate with building construction contractors and equipment vendors for equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover to end users. Coordinate weekend and plant shutdown work with contractors, plant facilities groups, and manufacturing shops. Conduct continuous work progress inspections. Support construction administration activities related to schedule coordination, quality confirmations, weekly coordination meetings, and planned utility outages. Conduct inspections and observations of civil and structural building systems for compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. Oversee work of civil and structural contractors for adherence to project delivery methods, schedule milestone targets, and coordination with other groups. Prepare field engineering status reports of work progress and schedule to Project Managers. Provide input and feedback to improve project technical specifications and standards. Effectively communicate technical matters in written and verbal formats. Ability to multi-task, manage time, and prioritize project commitments based on established deadlines and project milestones. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in civil and/or structural design. 2+ years in construction management. Experience in design criteria development for civil and structural systems. Automotive experience with engine, transmission, or vehicle facilities or similar industrial manufacturers. Good organizational, communication, and schedule management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and AutoDesk Build. Multi-discipline (civil, electrical, etc.). Experience with Kanban. Work Environment The position requires domestic travel (approximately 10%) and includes working onsite. The role allows for overtime hours. The work environment involves collaboration with building construction contractors, equipment vendors, and various project stakeholders to ensure successful project completion. Candidates are expected to adhere to safety procedures and industry standards while managing multiple project commitments
