EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Support & Coordination:
Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of economic development projects. Support the Director in keeping projects on schedule and within budget, while tracking milestones and deliverables.
Outreach & Relationship Management:
Support business outreach efforts, including helping to coordinate meetings, maintaining relationships with local businesses, and assisting with the development of materials for outreach and marketing campaigns.
Grant & Funding Assistance:
Aid in identifying potential grants and funding sources. Assist in the preparation of applications and the administration of awarded funds for economic development and tourism projects.
Market Research & Data Support:
Conduct research on local economic trends, demographics, and business sectors to assist in responding to requests for information and data driven reports.
Event Planning Assistance:
Support the coordination of community and business events, including workshops, networking sessions, and other outreach efforts that promote economic development, tourism, and local business growth.
Stakeholder Communication:
Help maintain communication with key stakeholders such as local businesses, community organizations, and government agencies to ensure alignment with ongoing projects and initiatives.
Reporting & Documentation:
Assist in preparing reports, status updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Track progress on various projects and provide necessary documentation to support decision-making.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the Director, including scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics for events, and handling day-to-day project-related tasks.
