Utility Assistant Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Assistant Project Manager (APM) for a full-time position located in Eastern NC. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in utility construction, specifically in wet utilities (water and sewer) and storm drain systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project coordination, field operations, and construction documentation, with proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Responsibilities + Assist in managing utility construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. + Coordinate and track RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation. + Collaborate with field teams and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met. + Utilize HeavyBid and HeavyJob for estimating and job cost tracking. + Review and mark up plans using Bluebeam. + Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6. + Prepare and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel. + Support compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. + Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and inspectors. Essential Skills + Minimum 5 years of experience in utility construction, with a focus on wet utilities and storm drain systems. + Proficiency in HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Excel. + Strong understanding of RFI and submittal processes. + Excellent organizational and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment The role involves traveling to job sites from New Bern to Raleigh, with the flexibility to live anywhere within that territory. You will be home every night.
