Full-Time Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager with extensive expertise in concrete construction to join our team in Wawayanda, NY . This role supports the Project Manager in overseeing concrete construction projects from pre-construction through completion, with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and must have proven experience as a project manager in the concrete industry , including managing field operations, subcontractors, and project timelines on commercial, industrial, or civil construction sites.
Schedule:
12-hour shifts , Monday through Friday Weekends off Per diem available , based on project requirements and candidate location
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all aspects of concrete construction projects including site prep, formwork, rebar, pours, and finishing Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met Maintain and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations Review and interpret blueprints, project drawings, and concrete specifications Support documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily logs Enforce safety and quality protocols on-site and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards Attend coordination meetings and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders Assist with project close-out and final documentation
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in construction project management with a strong focus on concrete construction Must have proven experience as a project manager in the concrete industry Strong knowledge of concrete practices including forming, reinforcing, pouring, and finishing Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) OSHA 30 certification preferred Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in the Wawayanda area
