Candidate Requirements:
- 5+ years of Light Commercial construction experience
- Experience and technical knowledge of caste-in-place concrete, masonry, steel erection and light metal framing and all trades associated with Light Commercial construction.
Position Requirements:
- Experience with high-end, high-quality, high-performance residential and light commercial construction and remodeling
- Hands-on experience with the trades, especially carpentry, wood and metal framing
- Deep knowledge & experience of construction, including code compliance and inspection processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Proficiency in site management, efficient workflow, protection of materials and finishes
- Safety-oriented, OSHA 30 certified
- Excited by challenges and driven to finding creative solutions
- Experience with a variety of project types, including high-quality home additions, home remodeling, historic preservation, new homes, and commercial build & renovation
- Able to work well independently and within a team
- Experience with CoConstruct or Buildertrend is a plus
- MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook proficiency
Position Responsibilities:
- Participate in the on-site management of all phases of construction of a large residential project in Orange Co. NC., maintaining REdesign’s exceptional standards of craftsmanship and sustainability.
- Participate in development and management of the project schedule from start to finish ensuring smooth coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, materials, and inspections.
- Working closely with the REdesign.build design team serving as a key liaison between design intent and construction execution.
- Participate in managing project budgets and schedules including monitoring and updating costs on labor, materials, and subcontractor rates throughout construction projects.
- Lead point of contact for clients, providing updates on schedule, safety, and project progress while managing expectations.
- Managing building permits and scheduling inspections.
- Managing and coordinating REdesign.build carpenters and staff.
- Working in a variety of jobsite conditions including existing buildings and neighborhoods
