Y our impact:
As a Project Manager Sr, you will lead projects of all sizes (x-small – x-large) and advanced complexity to successful completion by creating detailed plans, defining clear goals, and ensuring efficient resource allocation. Your strong communication and collaboration skills will keep team members and stakeholders informed, fostering cross functional collaboration and preventing misunderstandings. You will proactively identify risks, manage scope changes, and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions. Your meticulous tracking and transparent reporting build trust, while your leadership and mentorship foster a culture of accountability and development within your team and department. Additionally, your adaptability allows you to navigate changing project requirements and unexpected challenges, leading the project team to successful project completion. These responsibilities reflect the comprehensive role of a Project Manager Sr, which includes all responsibilities of lower PM Levels with the additional responsibilities and emphasis on managing projects with the greatest complexity, greater risk, and longest duration; as well as mentoring project team members as well as lower-level Project Managers. As a key contributor to the Coastal team, your responsibilities will be: (20%)
Advanced Planning and Execution:
Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for projects that align with organizational goals. Lead cross-functional teams autonomously to achieve project objectives for the organizations largest and most complex projects and drive long-term business value. Develop and implement detailed project plans, ensuring robust planning and execution. Manage scope, lead and facilitate project meetings, ensuring successful outcomes. (20%)
Advanced Risk and Resource Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate complex risks that could impact project success. Develop comprehensive risk management strategies and contingency plans. Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources across multiple projects large and complex projects to maximize productivity and achieve project goals. (20%)
Stakeholder and Communication Management:
Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are managed and their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle. Escalate issues through proper escalation paths to ensure awareness of issues or concerns. Work to resolve conflicts between stakeholders and vendors by recommending paths forward when obstacles arise. (20%)
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
Ensure thorough testing plans and scripts are created and executed. Document testing results, including issues and deficiencies, and ensure proper assignment for resolution or mitigation. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and bring innovation to optimize processes. (10%)
Leadership and Team Development:
Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams. Develop team members’ skills and capabilities through coaching, training, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and accountable environment. Additionally, mentor lower-level PMs, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles. (10%)
Financial Oversight, Reporting and Documentation:
Oversee large project budgets and financial performance autonomously. Ensure projects are delivered within budget and financial targets are met over extensive project timelines. Ensure project documents are created and maintained, ensuring artifacts are cataloged in proper archives and shared with key stakeholders and team members. Provide clear and transparent reporting to key stakeholders, project team, management, and executive leadership on a recurring basis. Track, monitor, and report on project metrics, including budget, hours, and timeline. Interested? Here are the qualifications we need to see on your resume: Required experience: Eight years project management experience, including tracking and planning projects. Systems analyst, business analyst, project analyst, technical, or similar experience within a financial institution or related industry partner. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, business case documentation, project plans or related experience. Experience with configuration management and implementation, IT change management practices, release management and testing management practices and methods, as well as issue resolution.
Preferred experience:
Experience with Microsoft SQL, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Experience with ServiceNow and/or
Jack Henry Systems Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, project management, or related field; or four additional years of experience in lieu of degree PMP certification or CAPM certification preferred Essential cognitive/physical/social requirements of position: Must be able to learn and retain information; remain in a stationary position; constantly operate a computer; and converse with others on a continual basis.
