Order materials, hardware using POs with copy to office manager to match against invoices Secure change orders as needed Assist Office manager with monthly billing, dollars and steel to come out of inventory Issue shipping tickets (or supply correct items to office manager ) Scheduling manpower to suite the current work load, advise if too heavy or too light. Plan at least one day ahead, to shop have drawings and steel needed Advise shop what needs to be pre-loaded by lunch the day before. Have pertinent knowledge of each project to ensure correct manpower is applied to be most efficient (meetings, discussions and planning prior to starting work). Meet with customers for progress meetings to keep customer and peak steel on the same page with delivery of materials, current status of project and any changes needed. Support the crews as needed with (materials, tools, training, counseling, trouble shooting) Ensure job is completed and Billed properly. Preparing take-offs from design drawings and clarify questions with customers and design team Obtaining and reviewing pricing from vendors Meeting with customers to discuss future and current projects Following up with customers on prior bids Working with customers to create delivery schedules that can be achieved Coordinating schedule and submittals with subcontractors Coordinating with vendors to ensure proper materials are ordered and in a timely fashion Working with shop to ensure they have all drawings/material needed to complete projects Working with office manager monthly to ensure billing is up to date and accurate Attending trade shows as needed. Attending trade organization meetings and events. Other duties as requested by VP Operations. Summary As a Commercial Project Manager, you will oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. Reporting to senior management, you will utilize core skills in project management and construction coordination, while using software like ProCore and Bluebeam P6. Your expertise in construction management software and blueprint reading will be essential in navigating project complexities. With a focus on effective communication and time management, you will drive project success and contribute to our organization’s growth in the construction industry.
