What this job involves:
As a VP, Projects, you will play a crucial role in driving outstanding project management and delivering exceptional results. We believe the most effective teams are built when everyone is empowered to thrive, and we are looking for a professional who can inspire and lead a dynamic team of project managers while ensuring smooth project execution. What your day-to-day will look like: Lead multiple projects and assignments. Develop scope and schedule for assigned projects. Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential risk surrounding project, project logistical issues, budget, and scope. Coordinate and track all Vendor Request For Proposals (“RFPs”) Interact and negotiate with project vendors. Prepare/update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain files for due diligence and financials. Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path. Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements, in a timely and cost effective manner. Lead and manage projects and ultimately a team of project managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to foster professional growth and development. Collaborate with various stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables, ensuring they are aligned with clients’ goals and expectations. Develop and implement project management strategies and methodologies, leveraging more innovative ways of working to enhance efficiency and productivity. Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Champion a culture of collaboration by actively engaging with cross-functional teams, both locally and globally, to optimize project outcomes. Foster a climate of inclusivity and belonging, supporting each other’s wellbeing and promoting a diverse workforce. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnering with the business development team to drive growth and expand client relationships. Drive a sales culture within the PDS team, including leading sales and cross-selling meetings. Develop client pursuit strategies, pitch effectively, secure new business, and successfully execute projects across all elements of the PDS platform.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, engineering, architecture). 10+ years of experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects within the commercial real estate industry. Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, with exceptional communication and leadership skills. Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with a demonstrated ability to drive process improvements. Strong financial acumen and experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting. Excellent client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, project management). Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, Six Sigma). Experience working in a global organization, collaborating with multicultural and cross-functional teams. Knowledge of industry-leading project management software and technologies. Proven experience in business development and successfully securing new project opportunities. Ability to travel as needed.
