Job Description

We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen.

As our new mid to senior-level Project Manager, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.

RoleThe Project Manager will provide a wide variety of services on projects primarily in New England, including environmental investigation and remediation projects, and site redevelopment projects. You will have the opportunity to represent SLR with clients throughout proposal, contracting, and project performance phases, and will be responsible for planning day-to-day execution of the technical aspects of projects. Additionally, the PM will be responsible for the project financial management (e.g., budgeting, subcontractor management, and client invoice review).

Responsibilities:

Direct projects, delegate to office and field staff, and execute overall strategy for projectsPrepare proposals and review/write environmental reports with leadership reviewOversee project performance and project contractual and financial issues (including terms of agreement, changes in scope, scheduling, and billing process)Manage, mentor, and coordinate with SLR staff (e.g., project-level scientists, engineers, and consultants)Conduct and review technical analyses/calculationsParticipate in meetings and agency consultationsEnsure work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company safety rules and applicable regulatory, industry, and other pertinent standards.   • $130,000.

Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.

Qualifications/Education/Memberships:

Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Geological/Environmental Engineering or Sciences6+ years of related work experienceMassachusetts LSP, LEP, LSRP, PE, and or PG a plusHistory of providing environmental consulting services for site investigations and remediation related to soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air, and sediment samplingUnderstands environmental due diligence (Environmental Site Assessments) with a strong grasp of the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), experience with programs in nearby states and emerging contaminants a plusBalances assignments; strong organizational skillsReview technical deliverables, data analysis, and mapping for deliverables ranging from site assessment reports to remedial action plans and Per anent SolutionsExperience editing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge and the ability to review the reports of othersManage task assignments and help mentor and train other staff as requiredCommunicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions, and foster a positive working relationship with clientsSystematically and proactively examine the various components of an issue to understand key elements and relationships and thinks strategically, considering a broad range of internal and external factors when solving problems and seeking input before making decisionsComplete tasks with minimal supervision and direction
