Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Project Manager / Estimator to join our mitigation team. This role is responsible for managing mitigation projects from initial response through to completion, including scoping, estimating, client communication, and overseeing field crews. The ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, with a solid background in water, fire, and mold damage restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management Oversee day-to-day field operations on mitigation jobs Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project execution Monitor job progress, budgets, timelines, and quality control Serve as primary point of contact for property owners, insurance adjusters, and third-party administrators (TPAs) Estimating Perform on-site inspections to scope mitigation work Prepare detailed estimates using Xactimate and company guidelines Submit accurate estimates to insurance carriers, ensuring timely approvals Revise estimates as needed based on carrier feedback or change orders Documentation & Compliance Maintain thorough job documentation, including photos, drying logs, moisture readings, and job notes Ensure projects are completed in accordance with IICRC standards and industry best practices Track and document all communications with clients and carriers Team Collaboration Work closely with field supervisors and mitigation techs to allocate resources effectively Train and mentor field staff on project protocols and customer service expectations
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in mitigation/restoration project management and estimating Proficiency with Xactimate required Strong understanding of water, fire, and mold mitigation techniques IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, etc.) preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency
