What You’ll DoAs a Director, you will be responsible forleveraging your past professional experiences and industryrelationships, along with Design Group’s engineering andconstruction offerings to expand our presence by developing clientrelationships and project opportunities. You will lead a team oftalented project managers to deliver multi-disciplinary designprojects for food and beverage, consumer health, fast movingconsumer goods sector manufacturing clients. You also need to meet client needs and guide them inindustry leading best practices for complex projects that requirethe integration of architecture, regulatory compliance, essentialprocess engineering, packaging integration, and mechanical,electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering. You will need to beactively involved in the execution and be able to lead all phasesof design which includes feasibility studies, planning, conceptdevelopment, scope definition, detailed design, and constructiondocumentation.

Responsibilities As a senior leader in the firm, you will be expected to helpsecure new engagements as you begin to understand how we operate,our key areas of strength, how we price our services, etc. Develop a plan and approach required to engage new clientrelationships and opportunities. Lead a project management team that manages multiple projectsin the Food & Beverage market sector. Leverage your technical skills, expertise, and leadershipskills to successfully deliver services and/or projects that meetor exceed the client’s expectations. Manage projects of your own as well as provide projectleadership to other Design Group professionals. Support the development and recruiting of Project Managers andProject Engineers to help grow the Design Group team. Leverage the extensive Design Group engineering team to deliversuccessful projects. Consistently seek new value-add opportunities for clients andDesign Group. Lead with an uplifting entrepreneurial spirit. Inspire excellence in all aspects of performance and projectexecution. Display enthusiasm and excitement for client projects thatlifts project teams to high levels of job satisfaction. Innovate and improve design and service delivery method andprocesses. Build and sustain long term client and internalrelationships. Participate actively in relevant industry organization eventsand conferences.

What You’ll Bring 15 years of operational & engineering consulting experience inthe food and beverage, consumer health, fast moving consumer goodsor other manufacturing sectors. Demonstrated experience leading successful conceptual designefforts. Demonstrated client development experience and excellentpresentation skills. Experience in design, and qualification of manufacturing anddistribution facilities ranging from pilot to full-scale productionplants. Familiarity with GMP manufacturing design, including processtechnology evaluation, capacity analysis, GMP environmentalclassification, and operational analysis a plus. Knowledge of production capacity modeling and assessment,manufacturing flow analysis, manufacturing flow diagrams, andprocess logic diagrams. Knowledge of Validation, Commissioning and Quality programs asthey relate to project and manufacturing requirements. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task onsimultaneous projects. Travel as required for client development and projectexecution. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred area of study: civil, structural,mechanical or electrical engineering, or related engineeringfield. Professional Engineer license preferred.
