Commensurate with experience About Us Petal and Company x Holiday Collective is an experiential design studio specializing in large-scale floral installations, holiday decor programs, and immersive brand environments. From corporate lobbies to landmark public spaces, we bring seasonal campaigns and moments of wonder to life through innovative fabrication, high-touch creative, and thoughtful storytelling. We’re looking for a Freelance Project Manager to join our nimble, production-forward team for upcoming fall and winter programs. This role will support the planning and execution of large-scale decor installs, requiring a strong balance of creative understanding and operational oversight. The Role As a Freelance Project Manager, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of experiential activations, from concept through on-site execution. You will liaise between clients, creative teams, vendors, and install crews to ensure projects run on time, on budget, and beyond expectations. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments, have experience with large activations or seasonal programs, and love creating something magical from scratch. What You’ll Do Manage end-to-end production of holiday and floral installation projects Create and track detailed timelines, budgets, install schedules, and vendor logistics Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams Lead pre-production and on-site walkthroughs; manage installations start to finish Oversee crew schedules and coordinate freelance team needs Support creative development by translating ideas into actionable production plans Source and manage vendor relationships, including fabrication and floral suppliers Maintain clear communication and ensure alignment across all project touchpoints Problem-solve in real time during install and strike phases What You’ll Bring 2+ years of project or production management experience in events, decor, or experiential Proven track record managing installations, seasonal activations, or live events Skilled in budget management, logistics coordination, and vendor negotiations Calm, solutions-oriented, and adaptable in the face of last-minute changes Strong communication, multitasking, and documentation skills Ability to travel and be on-site in the NYC area during key install windows Experience with Google Suite, and cloud-based file sharing preferred Bonus Points Floral, fabrication, or decor background Prior work with real estate, hospitality, or corporate property clients Familiarity with working on tight timelines and overnight installs To Apply Email us at hello@petalandcompany.co with your resume, availability, and a few examples of past projects.
