Landscape Acct Manager/Project Manager:

The Valluzzi Group Westfield, NJ 07090 1.

Position Description :

The Landscape Account Manager (AM) must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of landscaping to include: customer service, estimating, production, etc. The AM oversees the maintaining of accounts on a daily basis while interfacing with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. The AM must also interface with the, The Valluzzi Group, LLC’s Maintenance Supervisors and Accounting personnel. The AM also has the opportunity to work as a Landscape Designer for projects requiring design/plans for landscaping and masonry work. 2.

Reports To:

The AM reports directly to the CEO of the company and works with Supervisors and General Manager 3.

Skill Set and Education:

The AM must possess the following skill set and educational background. A. Minimum of five years’ experience in the green industry. B. A valid driver’s license and be insurable on company’s insurance policy. C. Proficient in both oral and written communications. D. Proficient in QuickBooks, MS Word and MS Excel. E. Able to present the company in a courteous and professional manner F. For the Designer portion, the AM must have expertise/education in Landscape Design and the programs used to create plans and designs. 4.

Responsibilities:

A. Manage between $500,000-$750,000 in sales B. Find and Sell enhancement jobs and services, such as fine gardening packages, annual flower programs, Shrub Fertilizer programs, handyman services, trimming shrubs, mulching, etc.. C. Interfaces with client and ensures that all clients concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner. D. Responsible for getting Maintenance crews out in the morning with their tasks and making sure all jobs are in good standing order and that the crew foreman understands their tasks. E. Responsible for enhancing jobs and making sure crews perform tasks as contracted with clients and making sure all is completed professionally and accurately. F. Continually informs and updates clients as to account status. A Three point check system must be implemented, whereas the client, AM and the Owner receives a copy of inspection of property and any possible opportunities that must be addressed. This must be done for each account once per month. G. Develop new business/accounts and prepare bids for the same for owners to review. H. Reviews all bids for accuracy and marketability. I. Ensures that vendor pricing is competitive and accurate. J. Ensures that accounts are scheduled and maintained properly. K. Ensures that accounts are at or under budget. L. Identifies enhancements needed on accounts and coordinates with client, TVG owner and production staff M. Processes all change orders and ensures they are priced and processed correctly. N. Interfaces with subcontractors used on the account to ensure timely and accurate completion of their work. O. Interfaces with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of plants and materials. P. Interfaces with company crew members to ensure job specification and clients expectations are met and that account is on budget. Q. Ensures that company production standards are met. R. Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisors and owners. S. Ensures that equipment is operated in a safe and proper manner. T. Evaluates equipment utilization and makes recommendation for future purchases. U. Ensures that vendor invoice pricing is accurate. V. Ensures that job cost reports are properly analyzed and disseminated. W. Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic, annual budget goals, business development plan, training goals, and marketing plan. X. Assist in the company’s social media plan. Y. Continuous Education Required 5.

Salary:

$30-45 per hour (depending on experience). One Week (5 days) Paid Vacation. 5 Sick Days Paid. Paid Holidays for Memorial, 4th of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. 401k plan available. 6.

Hours of work:

Monday-Friday 7:30-4p. If appointments need to be made, they should be made between these hours but occasionally you may need to stay late or work more hours (ie Saturday mornings) to meet clients.

$30.00 – $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
