ANNOUNCEMENT

Project Coordinator Salary Grade 21: $72,128 – $82,241 The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Project Coordinator in the Office of Addiction Services and Supports, Division of Addiction Treatment and Recovery to guide an implementation of team-based care approach to improving quality care and patient outcomes in targeted outpatient substance use treatment providers in New York State. Candidate should have a clinical background and understanding to assist in implementing change interventions based on identified quality measures and utilize a practice facilitation model and motivational interviewing techniques when working with providers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Communicate progress or concerns to the team and other necessary staff as needed Prepare and present reports, both oral and written, to a variety of audiences, concerning current performance Provide timely, accurate, and thorough description of clinic progress in quality improvement and present challenges and successes in supervision meetings Work with participating clinics to facilitate timely and accurate data acquisition, analysis, and reporting Provide support to improvement teams to effect process improvements, and communicate effectively about their projects, both orally and in web-based standardized summary reports Work with change champions and teams within each clinic to efficiently improve quality while complying with clinic regulations Present educational information via various modes that may include in-person learning sessions and webinars Provide technical assistance to practice staff to assist with deploying and sustaining evidence-based quality improvement in substance use treatment programs Provide guidance on use of data for quality improvement and clinical decision making Participate in and help oversee clinical quality performance improvement and measurement activities related to this program Travel 30%

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master’s degree in a human service-related field and two (2) years of professional clinical or professional administrative experience in a public or private agency or program that directly provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, or aftercare to a clientele with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorders; OR A Ph.D. in a human service-related field and one (1) year of professional clinical or professional administrative experience in a public or private agency or program that directly provides diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, or aftercare to a clientele with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorders. Candidates must possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter.

Preferred Experience:

The preferred candidate would have one of the following: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent in good standing, demonstrated experience conducting quality improvement and program evaluation initiatives, with at least 2 years of clinical experience; Good written and verbal communication; Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
