Function of Position:

The ASAP Project Director is a member of the Student Success and Strategic Initiatives team and will oversee the implementation and management of the Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program at Monroe Community College. This program is designed to support students in completing their degrees on time by providing comprehensive academic, financial, and personal support. The Project Director will manage all aspects of the program, ensure fidelity to the established model, and collaborate with SUNY and various college departments to achieve program goals and ensure student success. This position reports to the Associate Vice President, Student Success & Strategic Initiatives (SSSI) and requires working occasional evenings and Saturdays. •This is a temporary, grant funded position that may be renewed annually contingent upon availability of grant funding and performance reviews. This position is eligible for paid time off and benefits.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary Functions:

+ Lead the implementation and coordination of the program, ensuring alignment with SUNY guidelines, policies, and objectives. + Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, fostering a collaborative and student-centered environment. + Manage the program budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and compliance with funding requirements. + Carefully monitor program metrics and utilize data to inform decision-making and program management. + Establish and maintain relationships with internal departments (e.g., admissions, financial aid, registrar) and external partners to enhance program effectiveness. + Formulate and implement local program policies and processes that align with the overarching mission of ASAP. + Develop strategies to meet enrollment targets and support student retention through comprehensive services.

Secondary Functions:

+ Participate in events outside of regular college hours, such as college open houses and admitted student days. + Provide academic advisement to ASAP students, as needed. + Serve on committees and participate in meetings as recommended by the

AVP, SSSI. MCC

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:

+ Master’s degree in counseling, educational psychology, social work, higher education administration, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years experience in higher education, with a focus on student success initiatives and program management. + Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. + Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with student information and student success software products. + Demonstrated dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within an educational setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Community college experience. + Experience with Banner and other software programs used by the College (such as Slate, Starfish, and Microsoft Office). + Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration. + Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently

Additional Information:
Salary:

Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity and college budget. This position has an expected salary of $65,000 and is based on these mentioned factors. MCC offers a Flexible Work Policy for benefit eligible employees. Types of flexible work arrangements include flextime/staggered shifts, remote work/telecommuting and compressed work schedule. The availability of flexible work arrangements varies by division, department, and position, based upon business and operational needs.
