Job Description
Waiver Support Specialist Children’s Health Home of Upstate New York 2300 Buffalo Rd Bldg 500B, Rochester, NY 14624 CHHUNY is seeking a competent, self-driven, and experienced individual to provide administrative support of the Department of Health Children’s Waiver services provided through CHHUNY Financial Management Services (FMS), including but not limited to; home modifications, vehicle modifications, and adaptive & assistive technology requests for medically complex children.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct various activities to support the 1915c Children’s Waiver environmental modification, vehicle modification, and adaptive assistive technology project requests. Support the Waiver Coordinator with project progression and completion, ensuring compliance with DOH policy and timeframes. Provide leadership with weekly progress reports and monthly reports to the Department of Health. Assist with data entry into the billing system to claim project expenses. Complete project team meeting minutes and agendas for internal meetings and meetings with the Department of Health, with the guidance of the FMS team. Assist with audits to ensure finalized projects include the documentation required and invoices were submitted correctly. Notify care managers and family members when projects are not progressing. Process contracts for leadership signature and work with evaluators and vendors to follow up on outstanding contracts or invoices. Other activities as it relates to additional services that FMS will manage for the Department of Health.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree preferred but will be flexible based on experience. Experience within a healthcare setting is preferred due to the confidentiality of the data you will be working with. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Demonstrate a high degree of organization, time-management, and attention to detail. Outgoing, engaging and customer service centric.
