Role:

We are now seeking an entry level professional, preferably with some HVAC, electrical, controls or project management/general contracting exposure/experience, to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Project Manager. Only local candidates need apply. Work authorization required. Lead project execution teams, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timelines. Supervise project construction for compliance with specifications, local codes, and installation techniques. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely execution. Monitor financial and operational aspects of projects to minimize risks and maximize performance. Negotiate and manage subcontract agreements, maintaining project scope, cost, and schedule integrity. Manage procurement and timely delivery of project materials. Adapt to client changes, managing project adjustments effectively. Drive additional work through change orders, including cost estimation and negotiation. Oversee project billing, financial management, and profitability. Communicate project progress, issues, and financial status to management. Ensure compliance with project documentation and contract requirements. Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Coordinate and provide client training as required. Candidate Qualifications At least one year of experience in project management within HVAC or electrical contracting sectors, internships acceptable. Technical knowledge relevant to HVAC systems and BMS controls. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree, or equivalent professional experience. Proficient in computer or electronic systems. Experience with Schneider Electric or Tridium Niagara products is a plus. Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of effective performance in a dynamic environment. Work Location At client sites located across the New York Metropolitan area.
