Job Description

Project Manager VVA Part of Drees & Sommer New York, NY 10016 • Hybrid work Overview VVA Project & Cost Management is a consultative, service‐driven management firm focused on representing ownership, across many development sectors, through the design and construction process. Founded in 1994 with offices around the country, VVA manages over $5B annually in construction volume across the US. VVA’s business, relationship-base and team has grown exponentially, offering us the opportunity to extend our services and regional relevance across the United States. We support and collaborate with experienced CRE’s, owners and leadership teams in delivering environments that best represent their long-term vision and business goals. We recently merged with German based Drees & Sommer and exciting things are happening here – especially our expansion and growth on both a National Level and International Level. We are seeking Project Managers with construction experience – especially as an Owner’s Rep. Duties Define and coordinate project budgets, estimates, and schedule. Must be adept at MS Project and Excel Manage schedule and budget Onboard project team members Manage the RFP process and prepare leveling sheets including but not limited to contractors/architecture/design, MEP, IT/AV/security, furniture, acoustical consulting, LEED consulting, landscape/interior planting Run project meetings Prepare the weekly OAC agenda and issue weekly meeting minutes Coordinate the efforts of the design team to ensure timely delivery of documents Manage the communication between the design team and the client for gathering and documenting project requirements Manage the coordination between design team members for coordination of drawings sets Ensure schedule milestones are established and met Oversee the construction on site Attend weekly site walk through to verify progress Manage all aspects of Construction Administration Coordinate procurement and installation of FF&E/AV/IT/Security/Branding & Graphics/Greenery/Signage Requirements Proven experience in project management with a strong understanding of project implementation processes. Proficiency in quality management principles and practices. Strong skills in project coordination, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and proactive. Relevant certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) are advantageous but not mandatory.
