At Parkside Utility Construction, as a Senior Project Specialist , u nder the direction of the Area Manager, you will assist with telecommunications utility construction projects and contract administration. The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for a variety of project-related tasks with the overall success of the project in mind. They partner with internal staff and subcontractors in the preparation, execution, and completion of projects. What you’ll do as a

Senior Project Specialist:

+ Manage various program tasks as assigned by management + Develop, maintain and update effective and complete project files (physical and/or electronic) + Obtain project specific information through customer contact + Set up new projects + Proactively work to resolve potential engineering design and permit issues before they become problems + Track and document project changes and scheduling delays + Assist the management team to ensure minimization of return site visits + Collect and review all project documentation and submit to appropriate personnel in a timely fashion + Constantly manage and monitor project progress, delays and the quality of the customer experience + Act as backup to critical business functions as directed + Participate in any required continuous training + Support all company policies, procedures and initiatives related to project, safety and employee success What you’ll need + To be 18 years of age or older + Authorization to work in the United States for this company + A bachelor’s degree in business, science or a related field OR 4 years of related experience + Excellent interpersonal, communication and data management skills + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to read and comprehend various written and data driven correspondence including but not limited to production reports, project work orders, prints, etc. + Strong computer operating and data entry skills + Experience with database software, Computer Aided Designs (CAD), Internet software, MS office and Google applications + Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance Physical abilities & exposures +

Routinely:

S queeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, use keyboard & mouse +

Occasionally:
