Full Job Description Description:
Stone & Timber Construction, a part of the Riva Ridge Real Estate Services family of companies, is seeking a highly organized, hands-on Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial renovation projects from start to finish. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a background in general construction and property renovation, capable of managing workflows, supervising teams, ensuring quality control, and maintaining strong communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Oversight and Execution Lead and coordinate all aspects of renovation projects, from demolition to completion. Interpret construction plans and specifications to guide project execution. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. 2. Team Management Direct, mentor, and support Renovation Technicians on-site. Balance workloads across projects, assigning tasks based on skills and priority. Foster a team environment with a focus on safety, accountability, and productivity. 3. Communication and Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact for property owners, tenants, subcontractors, and vendors. Maintain clear, responsive communication with property managers, technicians, and your Director. Provide timely updates on project progress, scheduling conflicts, or unforeseen delays. 4. Quality Control and Documentation Ensure all work meets Stone & Timber’s standards of craftsmanship and compliance. Use project management software to track hours worked, log descriptions of work performed, and upload daily progress photos. Review and approve completed work to ensure accuracy and billability. 5. Field Work Support Assist with hands-on construction tasks as needed, including carpentry, drywall, flooring, plumbing, and minor electrical work. Respond to urgent worksite concerns and triage issues efficiently. Ensure proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and job site organization. 6. Safety and Compliance Enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations on all job sites. Ensure all team members wear appropriate PPE and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant trade or construction certifications preferred. Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Proven experience managing renovation or construction projects. Working knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety practices. Proficiency in project management or work order software. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Availability to travel to multiple job sites in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Flexible, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
