Duties, Responsibilities & Other Manage a team of engineers and designers to develop waterfront structures projects
Oversee the preparation of all phases of the project including preliminary design visit, conceptual plans, zoning/planning coordination, permit documentation and construction level design plans.
Develops and approves scopes, budgets and schedules for assignments
Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs; reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance
Supervise all assisting staff necessary to complete assignments; assists senior management and staff as a technical advisor
Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials or products.
Consistently monitors and achieves project financial goals.
Maintaining client relationships, service as point of contact for their projects, and developing opportunities for further work.
Work closely with the Practice Leader to further relationships with existing and new clients to expand workload.
Prepare project reports and submittals.
Complete site visits as necessary.
Work with the Project Assistant on project setup, billing and closeout.
Train and mentor staff.
Field work to gather existing conditions information and perform construction inspections.
PE is required for this position Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 – 12 years of professional experience.
Appropriate professional certification preferred.
Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
