Role Overview:
As a Project Manager at Donas Outdoor Living, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of lawn mowing, landscaping or hardscaping projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of skilled professionals, coordinate project activities, and serve as the main point of contact for clients. This role is essential to our mission of creating stunning outdoor spaces that enhance the value and beauty of our clients’ properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Collaborate with clients, designers, and the sales team to understand project requirements, objectives, and budget constraints. Develop comprehensive project plans and timelines.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of landscaping professionals, including crew members and subcontractors. Ensure teams are adequately staffed and equipped for each project.
Resource Management:
Coordinate equipment, materials, and labor resources to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and uphold stringent quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry standards.
Final Quality Ownership:
Taking personal accountability for the overall quality of each project, striving for excellence in every detail.
Budget Management:
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide accurate financial reporting to company leadership. Identify cost-saving opportunities.
Client Communication:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and proactive communication to address questions, concerns, and changes throughout the project.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that all projects adhere to local regulations, permitting requirements, and environmental standards.
Safety and Risk Management:
Prioritize and enforce strict safety protocols to minimize workplace incidents and liability. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Project Documentation:
Maintain thorough project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project photos.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely and efficient manner, while seeking opportunities for process improvement.
Experience:
Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in landscape project management or a related role. Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of local landscaping regulations and permitting processes. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
