The project coordinator for the Center for Innovation and Interdisciplinary Studies (CIIS) will provide administrative and programmatic support. This role includesanizing events, developing and managingmunications, and supporting the Center’s daily operations and initiatives. This role will also assist in fostering interdisciplinary collaborations within the College and across partner institutions in the Rhode Island Research Administration Collaborative (RI-RAC). This position is a part-time, grant-funded role at 20 hours per week. The grant is scheduled for two years, (August 2025-August 2027).
Duties and Responsibilities
The project coordinator willanize events and activities advancing the Center’s goals; schedule advisory board meetings; schedule faculty outreach events and small group convenings; develop and sendmunications to faculty and staff; track programmatic and administrative data related to center activities; support all day-to-day operations of the CIIS. (50%)
The project coordinator will advance the objectives of the Rhode Island Research Administration Collaborative (RI-RAC) by using College tools to identify funding opportunities for interdisciplinary teams, liaison with Sponsored Projects and Research Compliance (SPaRC) to identify and support large-scale grant proposal development, and support developing a database/lists of faculty expertise across RI-RAC partners. (40%)
All other duties as assigned. (10%)
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred 1 year of higher education experience preferred
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PPoint, Excel) point and or Canva experience
