This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments and enjoys cross-functional collaboration. This is a strategic opportunity to lead multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
Duties:
Lead the execution of assigned projects from kickoff through delivery, maintaining timelines, budgets, and customer satisfaction. Serve as the liaison between customers, leadership, and fabrication partners to ensure transparency and alignment on project goals. Monitor project milestones, risks, and metrics; provide routine updates to stakeholders using reporting tools such as Microsoft Projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify process gaps or delays, collaborating with internal welding/fabrication teams to resolve issues quickly. Own all documentation and program tracking including scope changes, work order management, and reporting on profitability. Join customer meetings, walk the shop floor to ensure project progress, and support data-driven decision-making with the Director of Programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a project, program, or contracts-related role within manufacturing or industrial settings. Prior exposure to industries like defense, shipbuilding, steel fabrication, or precision manufacturing preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Microsoft Projects. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, communicate effectively across departments, and influence without authority. A continuous improvement mindset – someone who doesn’t just track progress but actively drives it forward. Thick-skinned leadership style; confident interfacing with customers and senior leadership even in challenging scenarios. Willingness to sit in office and move around manufacturing floor.
