Assistant Project Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a professional with experience in mechanical process piping and advanced plumbing systems, specifically within heavy industrial and institutional construction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing project schedules, cost control, procurement, and quality/safety standards. Responsibilities Manage and oversee project schedules, cost control, procurement, and quality/safety standards. Handle detailed submittal processes effectively. Solve problems related to mechanical and plumbing system installation and operation. Utilize excellent computer skills to manage projects using Microsoft Suite and other project control software. Essential Skills At least 5 years’ experience in heavy industrial and institutional construction. Experience with self-perform mechanical contractors. Proficiency in managing project controls (schedules, cost control, procurement, and quality/safety). Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with mechanical and plumbing systems. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Suite and project control software. 4-year degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. Experience with healthcare projects is a plus. Familiarity with the submittal process, schedules, cost controls, and project management. Work Environment This position involves working on healthcare projects.
