Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is seeking a highly analytical and detail-orientedMaterial Project Manager to join our Customer Service division inLexington, NC. The ideal candidate will have proven experience withSAP in Production Planning and Material Management (PP/MM) systemand possess advanced analytical skills. This role requires a strongability to solve complex problems and work on the technical aspectsof managing demand. In this hands-on hole, you will collaborate with Project Managers,Production Controllers, Material Managers, Buyers, MRP Controllers,Engineering, Quality, and Procurement to achieve proper projectexecution. Data analysis, problem-solving, and attention to detailare crucial skills needed for success in this role. Your primaryfunction is to ensure parts availability and support our HeavyOverhauls business. What your day may look like: Ensure On-Time Material Availability for Production and createtransparency of current & future material issues by analyzingsystem need dates, supplier commitments, and current productionstatus while improving Inventory turnover rate. Implement solutions to overcome current & future MaterialShortages. Coordinate and optimize Delivery schedules with criticalSuppliers working with order management. Creation of Demand in SAP and management of the network orders,reviewing Bill of Materials (BOM) explosion and its impact onMaterial Requirements Planning (MRP). Consistently work on Demand & Supply to proactively identifygaps and work with MRP Controllers, Production Controllers,Materials Managers and Strategic procurement to eliminate thegaps. Work proactively with Project Managers & Engineering toidentify unreleased parts and evaluate the impact on production. Ifneed be, raise to management. Support planning & coordination of new Projects, Newcomponents, and Engineering Changes (ECNs) and assessing the impacton Production Schedules. Collaborate with Engineering & Project Management to developroadmaps to phase out obsolete parts and phase in new productmaterials. Coordinate with Quality Management & Production to understandcritical production schedules and avoid impact due tonon-conforming materials Track important metrics and generate Reports, Charts ⪻esentations for End-to-End Performance. Work on Material extensions, planning parameters for criticalsystems, early involvement in defining the best SAP setup for newprojects/initiatives What you will need to be successful in this role: 3-5 years of experience in procurement / SCM in a manufacturingenvironment. Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Proficient in SAP in Production Planning and MaterialManagement (PP/MM). Highly analytical and numerically astute in interpreting largedata sets, with advanced proficiency in Excel for complex datamanipulation and reporting (i.e. complex VLOOKUP, concatenate,pivot table, graphs, etc.). Demonstrated ability to solve complex SAP and/orprocess-related problems, leveraging analytical thinking anddata-driven decision-making to identify innovative solutions andcarry out implementation of them. Experience in an engineer-to-order manufacturing environmentwith the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines. We would be impressed if you had the following: Strong technical knowledge and understanding of procurement,inventory control, and process control Proficient understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturingprocesses, capacity analysis, and supply chain risk assessment Results-oriented with the ability to plan and deliver againstproject deadlines Analytical and numerically astute with proven problem-solvingabilities Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective andproductive relationships with key team members.
