Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, assist in the coordination and management of the South Carolina Technical College System (SCTCS) retrainSC Program in accordance with Enterprise Zone Act of 1995. Assist retrainSC Program Manager with providing direction and guidance to the companies, ensuring the retrainSC Program is administered and delivered in the manner in which the business and industries are able to remain competitive. Serve as the agency secondary contact and a Subject Matter Expert on the retrainSC Program. Responsible for coordinating efforts in developing new business and industry workforce projects in collaboration with assigned colleges that will lead to retainment and retention of the workforce. Coordinate business development projects to ensure specific client company requirements are met. Attend local, state, national and international organizations meetings related to business development initiatives to enhance competence and awareness in manufacturing, processing operations, technology intensive facilities on behalf of the SC Technical College System•Division of Economic Development. Serve as secondary contact for matters related to non-credit education data. Assist Senior Workforce and Special Projects Manager with the design, development, and delivery of other workforce projects assigned to the Division. Assist with process creation, data management, and inter-agency coordination efforts as it relates to special projects.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience.
Experience in developing and implementing training projects for business and industry, including instruction, curriculum development, and training needs analysis. Knowledge of Project Management methods and tools. Proven presentation and facilitation skills. Must be able to identify and create reports reflective to training processes and results. Ability to manage complex data projects and communicate complex ideas simply. Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with peers, partners and clients is required, as is the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently•verbally and in writing. Strong leadership skills whether in managing or supporting roles and assignments. Must be skilled in managing multiple tasks and responsibilities and problem solving. Must be willing to adapt to a changing environment. Must be self-driven to work independently, as well as part of a team. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and presentation technology and equipment: Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word and the ability to achieve proficiency in utilizing agency software.
