Position Description
Advertised Job Summary The hired candidate will coordinate lab operations of the Early Social Development Lab in the department of Psychology.
Responsibilities will include:
participant recruitment, family outreach, dissemination of research opportunities, programming for lab and community events, meeting with community partners, scheduling study visits, and monitoring study enrollment and retention.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Communications, or related field by the start date of employment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Great interpersonal and communication skills. Outgoing and comfortable speaking to individuals on the phone, in-person, and on video chat.

Job Duty Supervising and overseeing all recruitment activities, including the screening and management of program referrals. Engaging with families to discuss research studies, assess participant eligibility, and ensure clear understanding of study requirements. Developing and managing the scheduling of initial visits, assigning participant IDs, coordinating the team for visits, and strategically mapping out future appointments. Leading retention efforts to maintain participant engagement and managing ongoing support throughout the study. Ensuring strict confidentiality of all participants and clearly explaining the study’s aims, responsibilities, and potential liabilities. Responding promptly and professionally to all participant inquiries, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and understanding.

Job Duty Overseeing and facilitating grant-related communications, ensuring clear and timely information flow between all stakeholders. Supervising the scheduling of meetings and deadlines, while ensuring the efficient and prompt approval of timesheets, reimbursement requests, and other essential documentation. Maintaining regular communication with grant participants, including researchers and administrative staff, to ensure alignment on project goals and progress. Directing undergraduate research assistants by assigning tasks according to their skills and project needs, providing mentorship, and offering continuous support to maintain high-quality work and adherence to deadlines.
