Job Responsibilities Under general supervision, the Project Manager I, manages and coordinates all tasks associated with the South Carolina Rural Technical College Consortium Grant (Strengthening Community College Grant); to include managing and directing project implementation such as planning, execution, control and closeout phases of the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares necessary documentation (i.e. needs analysis, business case, feasibility analysis, etc.) to support project/grant initiative. Develops and maintains documentation throughout the entire project/grant lifecycle. Responsible for managing and directing the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout phases of the project/grant lifecycle for small/minor projects
Develops work plan(s). Controls budget, scope, and schedule to ensure project/grant deliverables, milestones, and required tasks completed as planned. Oversees the development and execution of communication plan, which may include communicating with organizational leaders, elected officials, and/or the public about the project’s (grant) impact or status. Prepares status reports and provides updates to project (grant) stakeholders, sponsors, champion, etc.
Assists in creating quality management plans, Develops and maintains project/grant documentation. Oversees project/grant design to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, or agency’s criteria, codes, and regulations.
Coordinates and manages projects using project management methodologies from inception through completion. Defines and prioritizes project requirements. Identifies potential problems. Facilitates problem resolution by determining or recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy. Coordinates requests and recommends changes from original specifications with project/grant sponsor, project/grant team, and/or stakeholders.
Fulfills other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and relevant project management experience. Knowledge of College’s mission, programs, and objectives. Knowledge of grant management principles and methodologies. Employer
