The BIM/VDC Coordinator will oversee the implementation and management of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes within the organization. This role is essential for improving project efficiency, enhancing collaboration among stakeholders, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of project deliverables. Key Responsibilities
Coordinate BIM and VDC processes across various projects, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to facilitate the integration of BIM models into workflows.
Utilize software tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Revit to create, manage, and analyze 3D models and construction documentation.
Conduct clash detection and resolution sessions to identify and mitigate potential design conflicts before construction begins.
Provide training and support to team members on BIM/VDC tools and processes to enhance overall project performance.
Assist in the development of BIM execution plans and project workflows to streamline processes and improve collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in BIM and VDC coordination on construction projects.
Proficiency in software tools including Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Strong understanding of construction processes and practices.
