on a hybrid 12+ months contract opportunity in Nashville, TN.

Job Description:

The agency is currently recruiting a Program Manager to support the implementation of the agency’s Data Modernization efforts as a part of the Office of Informatics and Analytics (OIA). This position will directly support the agency’s Data Modernization work with regards to program administration and coordination, associated grant, contract, and resource management, financial management, program planning and communication, overseeing program documentation management, and assisting with related workforce development needs. This position will work closely with other members of OIA including the administrative, core informatics, advanced analytics and visualization, and data governance teams, as well as with various agency divisions and programs, including Information Technology staff. This position will be directly supervised by and responsible for supporting the agency Data Modernization director and Chief Public Health Informatics Officer in coordinating Data Modernization activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate activities, communications, and documentation across the three focus areas of the agency Data Modernization Strategy including workforce development, data governance, and data and systems.
Manage agency Data Modernization related procurement and contracts
Maintain the agency Data Modernization budget across projects and funding sources. Assist with monitoring expenditures.
Manage agency Data Modernization resource management
Oversee agency Data Modernization related communication strategies including but not limited to sharepoint pages, data town halls, newsletters, and program email communications.
Facilitate agency Data Modernization related workgroups.
Oversee agency Data Modernization related documentation including associated development, maintenance, publishing, and distribution.
Oversee status tracking for all Data Modernization related projects, including escalation and publication of status reports and assist with grant reporting on performance metrics and measures.
Maintain agency Data Modernization related planning and plan documents.
Provide support for agency Data Modernization related projects as assigned which may include support for workforce development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a bachelor’s degree, and six years of professional level experience in either or in combination of the following areas: (1) systematic analysis of overall work processes for business or information systems; or (2) project management; two of the six years must include being a leading team member of a project or project management. Required experience also includes at least two years of contract management.
Substitution of Education for

Experience:

Professional-level experience in any one of the following areas may substitute for the required college degree on a year-for-year basis to a maximum substitution of four years: (1) systematic analysis of overall work processes for business or information systems; (2) project management; one of the six years must include being a leading team member of a project or project management. Substitution of Graduate Coursework for the

Required Experience:

Any additional graduate coursework in project management, computer information systems, computer networking technology, computer technology or other related field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum substitution of one year. (Thirty-six graduate quarter hours or a master’s degree in the above fields is equivalent to one year of experience.)
