Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Roofing Project Manager to oversee and manage roofing projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, construction management, and a proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and ensure quality control. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to effectively coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Coordination:
Oversee all phases of roofing projects, including planning, execution, and completion. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and timelines. Coordinate project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure project needs are met. Ensure proper project scope definition and identify potential risks early in the project.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and manage on-site roofing crews and subcontractors to ensure work is performed to industry standards. Conduct regular team meetings to review project progress, address issues, and ensure safety standards are adhered to. Provide ongoing training and support to roofing staff, ensuring team skills and knowledge are up-to-date.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the duration of the project. Regularly update clients on project status, addressing concerns or changes to scope, timeline, or cost. Negotiate contracts and work closely with clients to align project goals and expectations.
Budget & Cost Management:
Manage project budgets and control costs by monitoring expenditures and ensuring proper allocation of resources. Prepare and submit project bids, estimates, and invoices in a timely and accurate manner. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
Quality Control & Compliance:
Conduct site inspections and ensure roofing work is in compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and company standards. Ensure quality of work is maintained, and resolve any issues that arise during the project. Review all roofing materials and equipment to confirm they meet the necessary quality and safety requirements.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, inspections, and warranties. Prepare regular project reports for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure project close-out documentation is completed, including final inspections and warranty paperwork.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in roofing project management or construction management. Proven experience in managing large, complex roofing projects from start to finish. Must have reliable transportation.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to read contracts and construction documents. Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations in the roofing industry.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to occasionally lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Ability to work in outdoor conditions and climb ladders as needed.
Compensation:
