About the role:

The Project Manager reports to the Director of Operations. The Project Manager is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of projects – with the goal of meeting both time and cost objectives. These objectives include, but are not limited to, contract verification, site visits, material and subcontract procurement, scheduling, project communication – both internal and external, and other project management administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

Overall Planning for construction of the project. Development of cost estimates of assigned projects. Prepare the job start-up and close-out checklists. Prepare the detailed project construction progress schedule/material verification for subcontractors and suppliers. Update the schedule on a weekly basis or as required by the Contract. Secure properly executed subcontract and purchase order agreements, insurance certificates, bonds and other documents as required for protecting the interest of the Company. Prepare, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking drawings, contract documents, submittals, and request for information, change orders, material delivery logs and other as determined necessary for a successful project. Monitor and expedite the delivery of materials. Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, and contract with Owner, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builds. Working understanding of processing of invoices and payment through to subcontractor for amounts due to them. Prepare change proposals, negotiate change orders, execute change orders, issue change orders to subcontractors and others and prepare revisions to the master cost breakdown as a result of change orders and management revisions. Document potential schedule delays and promptly notify supervision to submit request for extension of time and/or additional costs as per terms of the Contract. Maintaining awareness of all problem areas that arise during projects, and professionally solve them. Actively participates on internal team(s) that focuses on continuous improvement of the business. Coordinate installer teams for all locations in a given project. Travel to installation sites to oversee the installation of flooring and/or to Quality Check the project as needed.

Candidate requirements:

Basic woodworking knowledge and/or know how. Experience in client facing roles and ability to engage with different personalities. Familiarity with utilizing CRM, App, and software applications to facilitate tasks. (HubSpot experience preferred) Ability to capture and clearly transfer information both written and verbally. Concisely manage multiple opportunities during various stages of attention. A confident attitude that can read a room and/or situation and be able to pivot based on client’s needs and/or expectations. Ability to navigate high profile, high net worth individuals and the gatekeepers associated with this clientele. Accountable and responsive to both teammate and clients’ needs. Budget management, time management, and ability to drive a scope of work to the finish line Strong problem solving skills.
