Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to oversee and manage electrical subcontracting projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical contracting, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Position is throughout the whole state, so travel will be necessary, PM’s are remote but are required to travel to job sites regularly. 10-20% travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure all project milestones are met.
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate project teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and support staff, to achieve project goals. Provide guidance, direction, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Quality Control:
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, project specifications, and company quality guidelines. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality workmanship.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
Budget Management:
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance. Ensure projects are completed within the allocated budget.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety on all job sites.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and final project deliverables. Provide regular status reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the electrical contracting industry. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and industry standards. Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. PMP certification is a plus. Ability to travel as needed to project sites.
