About the Position The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Delivery team by ensuring that all projects are equipped with the necessary resources, manpower, and logistical coordination to operate efficiently. This role also contributes to project detailing and drafting, collaborating closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with construction standards, timelines, and quality expectations. The Assistant Project Manager plays a key role in maintaining communication across all stakeholders, supporting procurement efforts, and assisting in the successful setup, execution, and closeout of projects. Responsibilities Support the Project Delivery team in facilitating effective communication and coordination with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams Draft and maintain project schedules, look-aheads, manpower plans, and attendance records Lead the submittal process for material and equipment approvals Assist in procurement activities including material takeoffs, drafting commitments, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely deliveries Serve as a key contact for field management, providing guidance and support through the Project Delivery team Support the training of field leadership in collaboration with Project Managers. Assist with project setup, maintenance, and closeout activities Coordinate with internal shop leadership to order and track ductwork and fabricated materials Manage travel and lodging arrangements for field teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements Lead project closeout efforts, including scheduling and procurement of Owner Training, warranties, final submittals, permits, and O&M documentation Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership to ensure smooth operations and organizational efficiency Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or project support roles Basic understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and documentation requirements Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with project management software like ProCore or similar Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with field personnel Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field Familiarity with submittal processes, material procurement, and construction closeout procedures OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification or ability to obtain
