Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing theconstruction of multiple commercial projects throughout theKnoxville area. They will be working on the project from start tofinish, responsible for scheduling, oversight of construction andcommunication with project team. Client Details Family ownedGeneral Contractor in the Knoxville market, our client is a verywell established company that is looking to add a Project MMager totheir growing staff. They focus on higher education, health care,government and commercial projects. Last year they brought in about$40M worth of revenue and are expecting growth in the coming year.
They have a strong backlog of new projects coming up ranging from$2 million to $40 million and are looking for talented individualsto manage those projects. Description Responsible for managerialand administrative aspects of a project including; estimating,scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing,design review and coordination, cost reporting, safety, andproposal preparation Ensure an accurate and complete projectestimate Work closely with owners and the design team to developpreliminary concept drawings Participate in the proposal meetingwith the owner to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reducecosts, and provide value engineering ideas Oversee the buyoutprocess and the selection of subcontractors Conduct bi-weekly jobsite meetings on site Make sound decisions under tight deadlinesOrganize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplishdesired results Commit to quality by evaluating project-relatedprocesses Make necessary changes, use customer input to makeimprovements, and meet/exceed internal and external clientexpectations Act in a manner of integrity that shows support forthe company, its values, and other associates while maintaining aconstant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements andexpectations Profile Bachelor’s degree in a construction relatedfield (Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Architecture).1 years of assistant project management experience. Excellentwritten and oral communication skills. Software experience inBluebeam, Procore, Timberline. A non-jumpy candidate. Team player,outgoing personality who has the ability/experience to work closelyand talk with candidates. Negotiating and relationship managementskills. True leadership experience managing teams. Multi-taskingwith a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention todetail and accuracy is crucial. Job Offer Competitive base salaryup to $95,000(Completely dependent upon all aspects of experience).Dynamic bonus structure – ability to make more as you successfullycomplete projects 401K plan with 3-5% company match.
