Job Description
University Housing within the Division of Student Life invites applications for the position of Special Project Coordinator. The Special Project Coordinator is responsible for the planning, management, and oversight of high priority, mission critical projects within the Housing Services area of University Housing. Projects the SPC coordinates support University Housing programs, personnel, services, facilities, and objectives in an operationally effective and impactful manner.
The Special Projects Coordinator (SPC) is responsible for managing high-priority, mission critical projects within the Housing Services area of University Housing. The SPC is responsible for project planning and development, implementation, and outcomes analysis to determine project effectiveness, alignment with departmental goals, and program impact.
Responsibilities
Coordinate departmental access control & management program and manage the departmental Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); Develop and implement policies for same.
Develop, implement, and manage Housing Services temporary help/employee program.
Investigate and respond to parental and student inquiries, complaints, and concerns; Gather information in response to these inquiries, and utilize problem solving skills to resolve stated issues and respond on behalf of Housing Services/University Housing.
Draft and prepare reports and presentations to provide information on assigned projects and tasks.
Serve on departmental and divisional committees, task forces, and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in education administration, business administration, or related field.
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years in a full-time, or equivalent part-time employment capacity successfully coordinating and managing projects of various size and scope. Proficient in Microsoft suite software.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships, work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a wide variety of constituents including University administrators, students, families, employees and other stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to understand, accurately interpret information, and develop appropriate responses to complex information/issues in a timely manner.
Ability to work effectively in and manage ambiguous and uncertain situations.
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
