• Works under the general direction of an assigned manager to oversee and manage systems projects.
• Leads and assists in developing projects and programs that establish quality objectives.
• Oversees the full implementation of projects, from initiation to deployment, for one major initiative and/or several minor initiatives simultaneously.
• Interfaces directly with managers, employees, vendors, and others to clearly define project requirements and expectations.
• Reports on project success criteria, results, metrics, tests, and deployment management activities.
• Works creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
• Prepares estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project.
• Creates work plans that include schedules, milestones, controls, and risk factors.
• Identifies complex risks, leads reviews, creates risk mitigation plans, and implements action steps. Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure alignment with and support for the achievement of strategic objectives.
• Provides status reports regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating effectively with leadership.
• Demonstrates functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices.
• Manages project scope, changes, and budget.
• Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including the project team, sponsors, the Chief Information Officer, and key stakeholders.
• Protects confidential and sensitive information.
• Enhances the company and department’s reputation by taking ownership, exploring new possibilities, and adding value to the organization. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, along with five years of professional experience in project management, IT system implementation, or computer system administration; or equivalent experience and training that equips one to perform the essential job functions.
• A good understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies is required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification is preferred.
