Job Summary:
Restore LLC (ALASKA) is looking for a Residential Aide Supervisor. The Residential Aide Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential facility, ensuring a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all residents. This role involves supervising and training residential aides, developing personalized care plans, and coordinating activities to promote the well-being and growth of residents. The ideal candidate will possess experience in social services or healthcare, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and exhibit a commitment to providing quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Training:
- Supervise and support residential aides in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Provide training on best practices for resident care, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Resident Care:
- Ensure all residents receive care that aligns with their individual needs and personalized care plans.
- Foster a positive living environment that encourages resident participation, independence, and personal growth.
- Address any resident concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs tailored to the diverse needs of residents.
- Collaborate with staff and external partners to enhance the quality of services provided.
Communication and Documentation:
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of resident progress, incidents, and changes in care needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external service providers to ensure continuity of care.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, facility policies, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training to minimize risks and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
Crisis Management:
- Respond effectively to emergencies and crises, following established protocols to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Provide support during challenging situations and de-escalate conflicts as necessary.
Scheduling and Coverage:
- Develop and maintain work schedules for aides, ensuring adequate coverage and effective management of staff resources.
Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct room inspections, document observations, and coordinate repairs with facility management as needed.
Collaboration:
- Work alongside other staff members, including site directors and facility management, to coordinate care and maintain the facility.
Employee Relations:
- Ensure proper labor relations and conditions of employment are upheld.
Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience in nursing, social work or a related field
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; relevant experience is essential.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, particularly in a residential or care setting.
- Strong understanding of the needs of individuals in a residential facility.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team while upholding the values of respect and empathy.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
